Other Psychotherapeutic Models.
Aims:
To provide an introduction to a range of psychotherapy and counselling so that students will have an awareness of the theoretical bases of a representative sample of short-term and long-term psychotherapies commonly practised in the UK alternative treatments.
Including:
The historical story, theoretical base, assessment criteria and contra-indications
Relevant research issues.
An understanding of how the day to day practice is carried out.
Practical experience of the therapeutic process.
The development an ability to understand how NLPt as a constructivist approach fits within the wider perspectives of
psychotherapeutic theory and practice.
Any of these weekends may be taken as a stand alone course of training for professional development and CPD purposes
